Clervett Williams, LPC

I bring warmth, honesty, and a down-to-earth presence into every session. I want therapy to feel like a real conversation with someone who will listen deeply, tell you the truth with compassion, and walk beside you as you do the work. I support adults navigating relationships, trauma, anxiety, grief, self-worth, life transitions, and the patterns that can keep us stuck in survival mode. Whether we’re working through inner child healing, breaking unhealthy cycles, rebuilding confidence, or simply creating space for you to breathe, my goal is to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered to move toward a healthier, more grounded version of yourself.

Therapist Profile

1. How would you describe your therapy style in everyday language?

Imagine kicking your shoes off and having a real conversation with someone who's going to love you enough to tell you the truth. That's my style. It's warm, comfortable, and full of grace—but don't mistake comfort for complacency. I'm going to challenge you, help you see what you've been avoiding, and walk with you while you do the work. We laugh, we cry, we celebrate, and we heal. Therapy with me feels like sitting on your homegirl's couch...except your homegirl also has the tools to help you change your life.

2. What type of client do you tend to connect with best?

I connect with people from all walks of life, but my heart naturally gravitates toward adults navigating real-life challenges—relationships, parenting, career stress, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and figuring out who they are outside of surviving. If you're tired of just getting by and you're ready to heal for real, we'll probably connect.

3. What do clients usually appreciate most about working with you?

People tell me all the time, "You're easy to talk to." I keep it real. I'm down to earth, genuine, and you're never going to wonder where I stand. I create a space where you can laugh one minute, cry the next, and still leave feeling lighter than when you came in. You'll always get honesty wrapped in compassion.

4. How do you help clients feel comfortable when they're nervous, guarded, or unsure about therapy?

Sometimes we don't start with trauma—we start with your favorite playlist, what happened over the weekend, or that show everybody's talking about. Healing doesn't have to begin with tears. I let people settle into the space naturally because trust isn't rushed. My goal is for you to feel safe enough to simply be yourself.

5. What topics, life experiences, or mental health concerns do you feel especially called to support?

My heart is deeply rooted in helping people heal the wounds they don't always know they're carrying. Inner child healing, relationship challenges, trauma, abandonment, self-worth, anxiety, and breaking unhealthy cycles are where I thrive. These are the conversations that inspired The Girl Within because so many of us are still trying to grow while carrying little versions of ourselves that never got what they needed.

6. What should a new client know about what it feels like to sit in session with you?

Leave the stereotypes about therapy at the door. This isn't a place where you're judged or analyzed every second. It's a place where you can exhale. I'm human just like you, and I believe healing happens when people feel seen, heard, and accepted. You don't have to have it all together before you walk through my door.

7. Outside of your clinical work, what are 2–3 things that show your personality?

Give me a quiet patio, good conversation, and a little sunshine, and I'm happy. If there's water involved—whether it's a beach day, jet skis, or another adventure—I'm probably already packing my bag. And don't underestimate my love for karaoke! Music has a way of bringing people together. So...what's your go-to karaoke song?

8. Do you use humor, pop culture, storytelling, faith/spirituality, homework, journaling, or practical tools in your sessions? If so, how?

Absolutely. Therapy isn't one-size-fits-all. If faith is important to you, we'll incorporate it. If journaling helps you process, we'll write. If music, storytelling, humor, mindfulness, or practical coping tools speak your language, we'll use those too. My job isn't to fit you into a therapy box—it's to help you discover what brings you peace and healing. Every session is designed around what you need

9. What is one misconception people may have about therapy that you wish you could clear up?

Therapy isn't for people who are "crazy." Therapy is for people who are human. Life happens. Relationships hurt. Trauma leaves scars. Stress piles up. You don't have to carry all of that by yourself. Therapy is simply a safe space where you can unpack life without judgment and finally breathe again.

10. Complete this sentence: "You might be a good fit for me if you're looking for a therapist who..."

...keeps it real, makes you feel safe enough to be yourself, isn't afraid to challenge you with love, and believes healing is about becoming who you were always meant to be—not just surviving another day.
